While waiting for the Fall ZoukFest that starts September 18th, get your zouk on at the Sunday Zouk Social!
We had a super opening and with your curiosity, love and support, we will continue to explode Zouk in Toronto.
We just can't wait for Brazil's K-yo Victor to come on September 18 @Dovercourt for his workshops, for the Bachata/Zouk Room at the Canada Salsa Congress, and for K-yo & Gabi's workshop & party weekend Oct 22/23. We also have Rodrigo and Karina from Sao Paulo coming the Oct 14th teaching at Acrobat!
ZoukFest also extends to other Canadian and US cities. K-yo and i will therefore be dancing and teaching zouk and bachata to promote the Toronto Bachata/Zouk Festival and hosting preliminaries for the Toronto Bachata Competition in Ottawa!
See you for some soulful zouk this coming Sunday at Dovercourt House!

There are different zouk music styles: Ghetto, Black, Neo-zouk, R&B, Cabo, Remix, Tarracha, Ambient, Cargo and of course Kizomba (to which you can dance zouk). Many djs are remixing R&B songs by Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, 50 cent, Coldplay, Robin Thicke, and even Sarah Brightman... Popular R&B Brazilian artists are Nelson Freitas, Anselmo Ralph, Paulo Mac, Kaysha.

Go Dance Mambo offers classes in salsa, bachata, cha cha and now zouk! Check for classes on Thursday nights!
We also organize the
Toronto Bachata/Zouk Festival, and are running a new Sunday Zouk Social that started August 7.
Founded by Junyan Boon, Junyan used to be in love with salsa and tango. Now, him and partner Danielle Nash are crazy about zouk! Register for Mazouka Dance Classes and join their Tuesday night social 9-11@Trinity St. Paul Church.
Founded by Renata Lisa and Anton Grouza, Toronto Dance Zouk were the first ones to bring K-yo to Toronto. They'll be taking a break from teaching for now and are co-organizing K-yo's tour with GDM. Check back for updates at
Toronto Dance Zouk.
 DZouk Productions is a production company lead by Darius Zi, specializing in choreography, performance groups, djing services, and is a guest instructor at GDM. He used to be a die-hard on2 dancer, and now zouk is his passion.
Gorete Almeida and partner Lucas Amaral teach all Brazilian dances and Lucas is now teaching zouk on Saturdays!

Toronto Zouk
is a facebook page, lead by Valentin Danci, that promotes all things zouk in Toronto and abroad, like congresses and festivals. Valentin is very passsionate about zouk and has been actively travelling and learning zouk for over 3 years.

 Zouk Socials in T.O
Tuesdays: Mazouka holds a zouk social at TSP 9-11pm weekly. Thursdays: Go Dance Mambo holds a zouk social 10-12am @Dovercourt House after their lessons, 2nd floor. Fridays: Every last Friday of the month, Brazil Dance World hosts a Brazilian night at El Rancho nightclub, with forro, samba de gafiera and zouk. Sundays: Stephanie of Go Dance Mambo and the Toronto Bachata/Zouk Festival, will be running the Sunday Zouk Social (lower level of Dovercourt).
