January 2, 2011 -GDM studio re-opens starting with Sundays.

January 22-www.creativezone.com. Free inspirational night about dreaming big and achieving what you want with Noel Walrond (Spadina/Bloor area). Register for your spot!

February 13-Sunday Salsa Social Valentine's PAJAMA Party.  $10. Shows, prizes, sweets & games. Pose Dance Troupe confirmed and Casineros Unidos (www.salsaruedafestival.com/performers2011.htm). Lesson included at 5:15pm and we close at 11pm.

February 17-Pre Party for the Toronto Bachata Festival at the Thursday Salsa Social. 805 Dovercourt, 2nd flr. $5 including U of T students. 4 shows! 

February 18-Pre Party for the Toronto Bachata Festival at Acrobat Lounge 2464 Yonge St, upstairs. $20 for 2 workshops 8-10pm, followed by social dancing to dj music til 2am. $10 after 10pm. Price to be confirmed. International instructor demos and 4 shows.

February 19-1pm-5pm workshops by international instructors at the Lithuanian House 1573 Bloor St W @Dundas W. 8pm workshop and dancing til 2:30am. 10 Shows at 10pm. Prizes, silent auction to raise funds for Windfallbasics.

March 20-8th Annual Sunday Salsa Social Anniversary special! I'm catching up to you Jimmy Anton! (kidding! This will be his 18th year of the NYC Sunday social, which is what i modelled our social after).

April 30-NorteSur presents Luis Enrique (Grammy Award winner and Latin Billboard for best tropcial salsa album), salsa romantica, at the Government House.

May 22 So exciting! #1 Bachateros Jorge Ataca and Tanja la Alemana from Tampa will be teaching a bachata workshop at 5-6pm for our Long Weekend Double Bill Social May 22. October 24 World Record Brides SalsaSteph salsa lesson @Windfall basics fundraiser. Join BT host Dina Puliese for a Guinness World Record attempt to set the world record for the largest group of people dressed as brides in one place. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and dressed in wedding gowns and veil.  1pm-4pm at the Sheraton Centre Toronto 123 Queen Street West.
 $20 preregistration online or $30 at the door. Proceeds benefit Windfall Basics, Canada's only new clothing and basic needs items bank for families in need.
