Our Location: Dovercourt House

We run our dance classes and socials at the excellent facilities of Dovercourt House, located in central Toronto. Dovercourt House boasts 1400 square feet of open space with no pillars, large bright windows, and a beautifully sprung wooden floor. Salsa addicts from all around the GTA come here.

 

The Dovercourt House address is 805 Dovercourt Road, M6H 2X4, Toronto. 

This is just 2 blocks West of Ossington St., 1 block North of Bloor St.

PARKING at DOVERCOURT  

Parking is free on Dovercourt and side streets til midnight. Do not park at the Salvation Army. You'll get locked in!

 

DOVERCOURT BY TTC

Dovercourt House is very close to Ossington Subway Station. If you exit at the Delaware exit (on the west end of the platform), you only have to walk 1/2 block N, 1 block west and turn the corner north at Dovercourt and Salvation Army.

Dovercourt House is a 3-storey, church-like building.

Dovercourt House was originally the Bais Yehuda synagogue, then a Legion hall and is now home to performance companies and dance schools.

 

FOOD NEAR DOVERCOURT

After our events many gather in one of the local coffee shops and restaurants to chat and wind down. The most popular locations are: 

  1. Nova Era: NW corner of Bloor and Dovercourt serving Portuguese coffee, sandwiches and a baked goods.
  2. Mazz Sushi: Japanese and Korean food, just west of Dovercourt on Bloor, on the south side of the street.  993 Bloor Street West, 416-536-7631
  3. Cleopatra: Beside pizza pizza on the SE corner of Bloor and Dovercourt, 1 store east. Egyptian food made with TLC including falafel, rice pilaf, kebabs, lentil soup, spinach pies.
  4. Bloor Court CafĂ©: coffee, sandwiches, baked goods, on the corner of Bloor and Delaware, just east of Dovercourt.  201 Delaware Ave.
  5. Sardinha: hot lunch food, like roast chicken and potatoes, etc.  On the corner of Bloor and Delaware, just east of Dovercourt, 942 Bloor Street West, 416 537 2772.
  6. Beirut: Lebaneses falafel and chicken shawarma sandwiches. Corner of Westmoreland and Bloor, 1 block west of Dovercourt.
