Definition of all the different types of dances offered
- GoDanceSalsa-We teach a New-York based salsa with a touch of Cuban for club dancing in Toronto.
- GoDanceMambo-When you are comfortable dancing salsa, and are familiar with fundamentals, you'll definitely want to delve into 'on2' mambo!
- Go Dance Chacha - Similar to mambo, cha cha is a wonderfully rhythmical dance gaining popularity in Toronto clubs and socials.
- Go Dance Bachata - Bachata is a beautiful slow dance from the Dominican Republic. It is a romantic style that is danced closely, with sexy hip movements.
- Go Dance Reggaeton-Reggaeton is a Cuban dance, danced individually that incorporates lots of body movement. It is popular in Latin clubs. This is for people who love 'letting go' and just feeling the music.
- Go Dance Rumba-Rumba is a Cuban traditional dance with African roots. This is the source of all salsa movement!
- Go Dance Shines - Shines refer to fancy footwork that you do when the leader initiates hands-free dancing. Some you can do in partnerwork.
- Go Dance Style - Styling means you’re very comfortable with your core patterns and can now focus on arm and foot styling, body isolations, and musicality. It’s the equivalent of the Tabasco sauce on your steak, the chili pepper on your pad thai, and the icing on your cake!
- Go Dance Spins - Spins are characteristic of salsa and mambo. Good technique really makes a difference. We offer a variety of workshops that focus on different aspects of spinning, including leading & following, swivels & turns, multiple on-the-spot spins, and travelling spins.
- Go Dance Dips-Dips are too much fun...when done PROPERLY! Technique is super important before goofing around!
