The next Zouk workshop by GDM & dZouk is

Sunday, February 12, 2012, from 5 to 6pm.

Lower level of Dovercourt House, 805 Dovercourt Rd.

 
Leading & Following w Body Manipulation or Body Contact, for Advanced beginner to  Intermediate levels.

Pre-requisite: For those who are zouk social dancing minimum 1x a week and who are very comfortable with basic, lateral, sway, and lady's left turn.

Learn how to use body leads, focusing on moving the upper shoulders to lead the lady's ribcage isolations, head movements, while improvising outside of the zouk beat, changing paces at will. Leaders will learn how to use body manipulation to express the melody instead of the beat. Followers will understand the vocabulary of leads on shoulders which are different than in salsa. (Men r welcome to follow, women how to lead).

The Workshop price is at-the-door: $15 for the workshop only, or $20 will include the Sunday Salsa Social and the Sunday Zouk Social afterwards til 10pm.
