Class Descriptions

 

At GoDanceMambo, we offer 2 types of classes:

 

8-week Salsa Classes for Beginner to Intermediate levels (see below)

12 week Specialty Courses for Intermediate-Advanced levels (click to view)

 

 

 8-Week Salsa Classes

Our club-style salsa classes are offered year-round at the Dovercourt House, with a new session starting every 8 weeks for Beginner to Intermediate students.

 

The GoDanceMambo curriculum is made up of 4 levels"

1) Intro to Salsa

2) Beginner-Intermediate Salsa

3) Intermediate Salsa

4) Intermediate-Advanced Salsa

 

It takes 32 weeks to complete these 4 levels, however you can potentially stay in the last 2 levels for up to a year to continuously learn new variations!

 

Have fun, meet new people, expand your awareness, change your movement, and feel like a new person!

 

We use a unique Core Moves Method that ensures you'll learn fundamentals
(ie enjoyment) for life:

Learn 10 building blocks, add different handholds, variations and transitions on these same moves, then cut and paste them in different orders.You'll be able to dance comfortably and effectively with other 'technical' social dancers in the world salsa scene!

 

All you need is a solid structure and teachers who match your learning style. Anyone, even those with no dance experience whatsoever, can learn the basic building blocks at Go Dance MamboTM.

 

You don’t need a partner (most people come without one) to join the fun. Plus, we have our dedicated Volunteer Team to balance the male/female ratio.

 

Missed a class? You can make up one class per six-week session however you will most likely miss the exact class. Contact SalsaSteph to schedule your make-up class.

12-week Specialty Courses

Once you reach Club-style Salsa Intermediate and Intermediate-Advanced levels, you can broaden your skills by taking our Salsa or Mambo Training Programs, Bootcamps,  or delve into other Latin dance styles like Cha Cha and Bachata. You can even experience the thrill of a performance group-perhaps a childhood dream-and learn an even wider variety of dance styles like tango, samba, reggeaton, Afro-Cuban, burlesque  and more.

Go Dance Mambo offers the widest selection of specialty courses in the city!
