3 Types of Thursday Socials at Dovercourt House!
We have slightly modified the Thursday social/lessons.
Bachata lesson is now every week 10-10:30pm followed by a combined salsa/bachata social. Zouk is now every week 10-12 with a lesson and practice on the 3rd floor.
Pay one social, and get the other for free.
(There is an on2 Training Program from 8:30-10 or Cha Cha as part of the GDM bootcamps. Therefore the short salsa lesson at 8:45 is cancelled.)
We also have a massage therapist who is at the studio between 8-12am ($1/min) so you can get a foot or back massage before you dance!

Practice is for those who are learning or want to learn Kizomba and/or Brazilian Zouk (ZoukLambada).
This is an opportunity to come out and practice new sequences/steps, socialize with other zouk or kizomba lovers, and have fun!
From 10:00pm to midnight every other Thursday starting June 24th, 2010.
For only $5, you get beginner Zouk lesson by Renata Rodrigues (10-10.30pm) and access to GoDanceMambo Thursday Social on 2nd floor (salsa/bachata/cha-cha-cha).
We will play music during beginner lesson so you can dance at the same time, there is plenty of space for everyone.
Come and dance to Zouk, Zouk-Love and Kizomba tunes.

For 12 weeks we'll go over the Int/Adv material covered at the Bachata Festival in detail.

Learn the essentials on how to move and groove with a strong emphasis on rhythmical Dominican footwork, turns, and dips. Stand out from everyone else doing basic basic basic bachata! SalsaSteph is teaching a new ladies' styling specialty course. In 12-weeks, you'll develop more balance, whole-body awareness and coordination to salsa on1. The major focus is on ribcage movements (circles, shimmies, rolls and body waves) and sexy body lines.

New Advanced On2 Training Program on Wednesdays taught by SalsaSteph, leader in on2 timing and body movement in Toronto. GoDanceMambo offers on2 instruction for dancers who are motivated to enhance and refine one's salsa and mambo dancing.
Now that you know how to paint with your body brush so to speak, this course will teach you finer techniques to produce more complex works of art! No more stick figures :) Learn advanced body isolations, shines, rhythm, accenting and expression.
Learn Cuban Son, Puerto Rican Salsa, New York Salsa nuances, pachanga and funky styling in shines, partnerwork, spins and body movement. Stephanie has been taking Eddie Torres' Shines and Turn Pattern classes for over 10 years and is happy to be able to share his syllabus with you until you're able to go to his class yourself! (Strongly recommended)!

Zouk/Kizomba social is alternating with Bachata socials on the top floor at 10pm-12am. Once you've paid your $5 cover, you have access to both 2nd (salsa) and 3rd floor socials (zouk).

We supply the beautiful dance floor, the Latin music DJ, the guest list so your guests don't have to pay, and our fun all-level dance class, all from 8:45-midnight on any Thursdsay night @ Dovercourt House, 2nd floor. We'll even get a cake for you! Did I mention parking is FREE on Dovercourt and side streets til midnight?
